Day 1 Prepare for Your Journey in Litochoro
When you’ve arrived at the foothills of Mount Olympus, you’ll find the town of Litochoro. This is where most hikers begin their trek up the mountain. You’ll have time to explore a little bit and get any last provisions you’ll need for your hike.

Day 2 Monastery Hike
Your trail starts along the Enipeas River and quickly begins to climb 900 meters to the Agios Dionysios Monastery. Take your time! The path is short and steep, so take breaks all afternoon to appreciate your surroundings.
You’ll finally reach the ruins of the Agios Dionysios Monastery, which is where your taxi will meet you to drive you back to Litochoro.

Distance: 4 hours, 9.6km, 900m of ascent, 350m of descent

Day 3 Begin Your Olympus Trek
This morning, a transfer will take you back to the monastery, where you’ll begin your walk again. Along your route, you’ll pass an ancient chapel in a cave and many sparkling rivers and river pools. You’ll feel as though you’ve stepped into a fairytale as you cross the water on little footbridges and stepping stones.
Settle into a mountain hut for the night.

Distance: 4 hours, 8.8km, 1300m of ascent, 90m of descent

Day 4 Enjoy the Summit Views
Today, you’ll trek to new heights as you climb higher up the alpine terrain. You’ll reach the Skala Summit first (2866m), and then you’ll climb the ridge to Skolio Summit (2911m), which is the highest point of the trek. From both summits, you’ll have unmatched views of the surrounding mountains.
Continue your hike to the Plateau of Muses, where you’ll rest for the night.

Distance: 6 hours, 11km, 1230m of ascent, 650m of descent

Day 5 Begin Your Descent to Koromilia
You’ll enjoy the easier pace today after the challenging hikes yesterday. You’ll slowly descend from the Plateau of Muses to the Giosos Pass and Lemos Ridge.
Eventually, you’ll find you’ve left the alpine heights behind and as you walk through the forest again. Reach your third mountain hut and get a well-earned rest.

Distance: 5 hours, 10.5km, 55m of ascent, 1675m of descent

Day 6 Finish Your Walk and Return to Litochoro
Today will be a short and pleasant walk through the forest. Occasionally, the trees will break and offer you a tremendous view of the sea. When you reach the church of Ag. Konstantinos, your transfer will meet you and drive you the rest of the way to Litochoro.
Take an afternoon swim or explore Litochoro to celebrate your successful journey.

Day 7 Final Day in Litochoro
This morning, your tour is officially complete after you’ve checked out of your hotel. You can return to the Thessaloniki airport or depart for your next destination.
