Best of Central & East Bali Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Bali and Transfer to Ubud
Individual arrival in Bali and optional transfer to your hotel in Ubud. Ubud is centrally located and known as the artistic centre of Bali making for an ideal place to begin your adventure.

Day 2 Experience Ubud
Today there is a wide range of optional excursions (not included) possible for exploring the small town of Ubud and its surroundings. Interesting temples and palaces as the Elephant Cave, Tampak Siring or the famous Pura Besakih (the mother temple) and Kintamani to view its picturesque Batur Lake & Volcano are a few of the top suggestions. Trekking around Ubud’s rice fields, white water rafting and spa treatments are also available. Interesting dance performances in former palaces or temple ceremonies are well worth a visit! And last but not least, the many galleries in and around Ubud are a treasure waiting to be discovered.

Day 3 Villages and Mountains of Karangasem
Today’s program brings you through the heart of Bali via a beautiful trip, to the Karangasem area. This is one of the most authentic areas of Bali with tranquil villages, friendly inhabitants and untouched scenery with mountains, green valleys, elegant running small rivers. In the afternoon you will arrive in the serene village of Sidemen, surrounded by a beautiful rice fields landscape, dominated by Bali’s highest volcano, the Gunung Agung (3,014m).

Day 4 Explore Sidemen and Continue to the Village of Amed
The landscape and atmosphere of Sidemen and its surroundings are a real invitation for a beautiful walk and a taste of traditional village life. It will make you feel like stepping far back in time. In the afternoon a short drive will bring you to your comfortable hotel in the quiet coastal village of Amed. However, on the way to Amed, you will visit Amlapura, an old town from the ancient Karangasem Kingdom. A short drive eastwards of Amlapura, you can witness Taman Ujung, a water palace that was built by the last King of Karangasem.

Day 5 Discover Amed
Find yourself enveloped in a remote paradise at your lovely hotel on the quiet beach of Amed. Today you will have the opportunity to enjoy exploring the ocean, full of colours and can even spot a shipwreck from the Second World War found just under the water’s surface.

Day 6 Drive to Sanur and Visit the Tirtagangga Water Palace
After a relaxing morning, a spectacular drive along the coast and over the mountains will bring you to the cozy coastal town of Sanur, where you will spend your last night of the trip in a nice hotel with a swimming pool and located nearby the beach. On the way to Sanur, you will visit Tirtagangga Water Palace, which was once a place for the Royal Bathing Garden of King Karangasems’ family where the mountain springs flow with fresh water. You will also visit ‘Goa Lawah’ (Bat Cave) which is a cave with thousands of bats hanging on its walls. When you pass by Klungkung-a small town that once was the capital of the Balinese Kingdom, you can visit Kertha Kosa, the former court of justice and Bale Kambang, a nice open pavilion with a historic legacy, surrounded by a spring.
