Highlights
Discover Corfu - one of Greece’s most beautiful Ionian Islands on foot
Cross the beautiful island of Corfu from the west to the east coast, taking in the stunning Korission Lagoon and wild coast.
Walk the green olive groves and rolling vineyards to Chlomatiana where you can reward yourself with a mouth-watering seafood dinner.
Visit and explore picturesque villages like Messonghi, Agioi Deka, Pikantika and more.
Hike the best sections of the famous Corfu Trail taking in endless mountain views as you follow historic mule tracks.
Walking on the Greek Island of Corfu means walking in a mesmerizing world painted in rich greens and deep blues. On the 8-Day Self-Guided Corfu Trail Hiking Tour, you’ll be invited to experience this colourful world for yourself as you walk in a land where the lush green mountains and spectacular blue sea are never far out of sight.
This self-guided walking holiday invites you to walk the highlights of the Corfu Trail; a trail on this Ionian Island in Greece, home to spectacular natural beauty. You will also wander through the old town of Corfu with its glorious past still very much alive in its maze of streets lined with alfresco cafes and markets and its Byzantine buildings. Though the island of Corfu is a well-known tourism destination, the inland of Corfu remains very authentic and picturesque, featuring Venetian architecture, white-sand beaches, clear blue waters and lush vegetation.
You will start with a walk along the wetlands of Lake Koryssion following the yellow marks of the Corfu Trail, and then cross the island from the west to the east coast. A circular walk from Benitses will take you along the Benitses Aqueduct, a remarkable irrigation system from the 19th century. Later, you’ll reach the summit of Agii Deka during a long walk following the Corfu Trail again. After a day in the Unesco town of Corfu, you will head north and explore two walks in the northern section of the Corfu Trail: from Rekini across the Pantokrator until the finale at Agios Spyridonas.
