Sea Kayaking in Newfoundland Tour Itinerary
Day 0 Pre-Trip Orientation in Gander
Please note that the itinerary may change based on the weather conditions.
Arrive at Sinbad’s Hotel in Gander, NL, between 5:00–6:00 pm for an optional pre-trip orientation. Meet your guides, review the trip overview, and receive gear and packing recommendations.

Day 1 Departure from Gander to Embree and Paddle to Camp #1
Please note that the itinerary may change based on the weather conditions.
Depart Gander at 9:00 am for a shuttle to Embree. Upon arrival, participate in kayak and gear fitting, followed by a safety briefing and packing session. After lunch, paddle to the first island camp, arriving around 3:30 pm. Set up camp, explore the island, or learn camp cooking tips while guides prepare dinner. Enjoy appetizers, a 6:00 pm dinner, and optional campfire and stargazing.

Day 2 Paddle to Camp #2 and Indigenous History

Start with breakfast between 7:30–8:30 am. Pack up camp, stretch, and depart by 10:00 am. Paddle through scenic waters, stopping for an island lunch. Arrive at Camp #2 around 3:00 pm and visit the remains of a Beothuk camp to learn about the area’s indigenous history. Enjoy dinner at 6:00 pm, followed by an optional campfire and stargazing.

Day 3 Paddle to Camp #3

Day 4 Explore Exploits Island

Enjoy breakfast between 7:30–8:30 am, then pack up camp and depart by 9:30 am. Paddle toward Exploits Island, stopping for lunch along the way. Arrive at Camp #4 around 3:30 pm to set up camp. Dinner is served at 6:00 pm, followed by optional campfire and stargazing.

Day 5 Explore Trails and Lighthouse
Please note that the itinerary may change based on the weather conditions.
After breakfast, paddle a short distance to refill water at the community spring. Spend the day exploring hiking trails, including routes to the lighthouse and local village. Return to camp by 4:00 pm for dinner and optional campfire and stargazing.

Distance: Kayaking – 1–2 hours, hiking optional

Day 6 Paddle South to Camp #5
Please note that the itinerary may change based on the weather conditions.
Start with breakfast at 7:30–8:30 am, then pack up camp and depart by 9:30 am. Today you will paddle south to one of several islands, depending on weather conditions. Arrive at Camp #5 by 3:00 pm for dinner at 6:00 pm, with optional campfire and stargazing.
Overnight Location: Island Camp #5
Distance: Kayaking – 4–5 hours
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 7 Return Paddle to Camp #1
Please note that the itinerary may change based on the weather conditions.
Enjoy breakfast between 7:30–8:30 am, then pack up camp and launch by 9:30 am. Paddle south, retracing the route to Camp #1. Arrive at 3:30 pm and settle in for a final evening with dinner and optional campfire and stargazing.

Day 8 Return Paddle to Mainland and Shuttle to Gander
