Quebec Parks Hiking Itinerary
Day 1 Hiking at Grands-Jardins National Park
The first day of the tour will take you to the most popular summit of Grands-Jardins National Park to reach the summit of Mont du Lac des Cygnes. Its peak, reaching 980 m in altitude and overlooking the valley of the Gouffre River, is one of the park’s main attractions. If the view is clear, you will see the swan-shaped lake below. On the return, you will stop at Baie-Saint-Paul where you will dine at the microbrewery, showcasing local products.

Distance: 2h15 (round-trip) 8.6 km

Day 2 Hiking at Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park
After a good breakfast, head towards Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park, named for its deeply carved valleys in high mountains. Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie features some of the highest cliffs east of the Rockies! You will hike the legendary Acropole-des-Draveurs trail, which offers breathtaking views of the Malbaie River. Return to sleep at Les Éboulements lodge where your guide will prepare a delicious dinner for you.

Day 3 Hiking in Tadoussac and Whale Cruises
Day 3 will see you leave Les Éboulements towards Tadoussac, located on the other side of the Saguenay Fjord, with a stop to visit the Pointe-Noire Interpretation and Observation Center. You will dine at the Tadoussac dunes before going for a short hike. After, you will meet marine mammals on a whale cruise in the late afternoon.

Day 4 Hiking at Longue-Rive and Baie-Comeau-Matane Ferry
Today you will leave Tadoussac towards Baie-Comeau to take the ferry there in the late afternoon. Along the way, stop to stretch your legs, enjoy the salty air, and eat at Sault-au-Mouton Park in Longue-Rive. Once in Baie-Comeau, you will board the ferry that will take you to the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River, towards Matane. You will dine on the boat, then head to Gaspésie National Park where you will settle at the foot of Mont-Albert for the next three nights.
Overnight Location: Chalet du Mont-Albert, Gaspésie Park
Distance: 4h (5km) + 2h15 ferry ride
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 5 Hiking at Gaspésie National Park
After the late arrival the day before, you will take advantage of this first day at Gaspésie National Park to sleep in before an intermediate hike later on. You can explore the trails around the chalet, where you will dine and spend the evening.
Overnight Location: Chalet du Mont-Albert, Gaspésie Park
Distance: 7 km – another hike possible depending on the group and remaining time
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6 Hiking at Gaspésie National Park
Another full day at Gaspésie National Park allows you to brave Mont-Albert, an emblematic summit of the national park where it is often possible to observe caribou. After this intense day on the alpine peaks, you will enjoy a good meal at the chalet.

Distance: 12.6km
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 7 Hiking at Bic National Park
After a good breakfast at the chalet, you will leave the mountains to head towards Bic National Park, where inlets, bays, and the sea will be highlighted. You will dine upon arriving at the park, then go for a hike. This enchanting trail between the sea, rocks, and wooded areas, with some steep and narrow sections, will lead you to the seal observation point at low tide. You will arrive in Quebec City at the end of the day.
