Charlevoix Cross-Country Ski Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Transport and Ski Preparation
Depart early from Quebec City by minibus, led by your guide, to Charlevoix. Upon arrival, prepare your gear and begin a short ski journey to reach the Écureuil refuge. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in this cozy shelter nestled in nature.
Overnight Location: Refuge Écureuil
Distance: Nordic Skiing: 4.2 km – 53m ascent, 50m descent
Meals: Dinner
Day 2 Nordic Skiing to Marmotte Refuge
Begin the day skiing through forest trails along the stream at Mont des Morios. After a warm soup lunch, continue north to Marmotte refuge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Overnight Location: Marmotte refuge
Distance: Nordic Skiing: 15 km – 345m ascent, 780m descent
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 3 Nordic Skiing to Chouette Refuge
Ski through scenic forest paths towards the Rivière du Gouffre. After a mid-day break, continue the route to the Noyée mountain area before arriving at Chouette refuge for a well-earned dinner and rest.

Distance: Nordic Skiing: 11 km – 520m ascent, 270m descent

Day 4 Skiing to Geai Bleu Refuge (Optional Return)
Climb to the highest point of the trip and descend into Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park. Finish the day at Geai Bleu refuge, perched above the Malbaie River. Optional to end the trip here.

Distance: Nordic Skiing: 19 km – 700m ascent, 1050m descent

Day 5 Nordic Skiing to Coyote Refuge
After breakfast, ski along the Malbaie River and Chouinard Creek, enjoying beautiful landscapes before arriving at Coyote refuge for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Distance: Nordic Skiing: 15 km – 770m ascent, 400m descent
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6 Nordic Skiing to Épervier Refuge
Follow snowmobile trails through scenic paths on a lighter skiing day. Arrive at Épervier refuge in the late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay.

Distance: Nordic Skiing: 18 km – 315m ascent, 410m descent

Day 7 Final Ski and Return
Conclude your adventure with a final ski journey to Mont Grand-Fond Station’s cross-country trails. Return to Quebec City by early evening, ending the unforgettable trip.
