Adige Cycle Path Family Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Resia
Upon arriving in Resia (Reschen) you will check into your accommodation, where you will find your travel documents and rental bikes (if booked). Spend the rest of the evening exploring the surrounding area.

Day 2 Bike past Lake Resia and the Haidersee
Enjoy the unparalleled panoramic views in Resia and breath in the fresh mountain air before beginning your cycling adventure. Today’s stage will have two marvellously glistening lakes awaiting you, as you cycle past romantic snow-covered mountain tops and through unspoilt nature.
Take a quick plunge into the refreshing Lake Resia (Reschensee), featuring the renowned steeple in the water, or into the slightly smaller Lake Haidersee. You will then continue cycling downhill on a well-maintained cycle path to Schluderns. Knight-enthusiasts get their money’s worth at Churburg-castle, where you will have the chance to visit the world’s largest private armoury!

Day 3 Cycle to Schlanders
Cycling through South Tyrol, you will make your way to Laas, where the world-renowned white marble is mined. It is recommended here that you seize the chance and sample the tasty yellow-orange Vinschger apricots, or at least purchase a jar of the sweet jam to take home with you!
Invigorated by those treats, you will continue through orchards as far as Schlanders, where you will marvel at the highest church tower in the country and jump into the cool water from the 3-metre diving platform of the outdoor pool.

Day 4 Water Parks in Latsch and Naturns
Today you will be inundated with apple blossom meadows, fruit plantations, and picturesque villages that line your cycle path across the Vinschgau region. Gleefully you will cycle to Latsch, where you will have time to visit the AquaForum – a water park that offers a lot of fun for families.
Continuing along the cycle path, you will make your way to the endpoint of the day in Naturns. If you still fancy more splashing, Naturns offers a further opportunity to do so with its adventure pool and giant slide that are especially nice on hot summer days.

Day 5 Explore the Merano Valley Basin and Passeiertal Valley
Day 5 of the tour will see you cycle through the flat valley terrain along the Adige river dam, which is a true pleasure for both adults and kids. The impressive panorama onto the Merano Valley basin and the surrounding mountain terrain is a constant companion along today’s route.
Take a leisurely break at the picturesque pond of the Rabland habitat, before continuing on to Merano. You will experience sheer bliss as you stroll through the centre of the beautiful cultural town with its Mediterranean flair. Then, you will have the option to cycle onwards into the Passeiertal-valley if you so choose, finding fruit and wine growing areas deep into the valley. Cycle along the same route back to Merano.

Day 6 Cycle to Bolzano
The final day of cycling on your tour will allow for some time to enjoy the thermal springs of Merano, before embarking on the final leg of your adventure. Cycling downhill along the River Adige, you will pass by apple orchards, palaces, and castle ruins on the way into Bolzano, the endpoint of the tour. Here you can visit the Natural History Museum and the Archeology Museum – an exciting finale to your amazing cycling holiday through South Tyrol.
