Alsace Wine Route by Bike Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival
Your tour begins in beautiful Strasbourg. After checking in to your hotel, set out on a stroll and visit the elegant historic city center. This magical town is not just a pretty face but also bears a fascinating history, in many ways due to being a frontier town.

Day 2 Cycle Charming Villages, Castles, and Vineyards to Obernai
Say farewell to Strasbourg this morning following breakfast and hop on your bike on a scenic road that leads out of town. The route to Obernai is peppered with charming villages, whimsical castles, and rich vineyards. Soon, you’ll arrive at the start of the Route de Vin, which you’ll continue on your ride to Riquewihr tomorrow.
For now, settle into the hotel in Obernai and enjoy a well-earned dinner of delicious Alsatian cuisine, accompanied by a good bottle of local wine. Buen Appetit!

Day 3 Discover the Heart of the Alsatian Wine Region
Setting out on the romantic Route de Vins, you’ll experience the heart of the Alsatian wine region today as you cruise alongside winding vineyards, stopping in small wine-producing villages.
Bound for the medieval town of Riquewihr, you’ll enjoy a pleasant ride on gently undulating hills as you make your way towards one of the most beautiful villages in all of France!

Day 4 Pedal to Turckheim, Kayserberg and Colmar
Today’s route will take you from one whimsical village to another, beginning with a visit to the beautiful walled fortified town of Turckheim. The route continues as you’re guided through Alsatian wine villages like Kayserberg and finally on to Colmar.
Enjoy your final evening of the tour, savouring Alsace’s famous white wines known for their highly aromatic and floral qualities.
