Amazon Rainforest Adventure Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Iquitos and Transfer to Amazon Lodge
To begin your Amazon jungle adventure, you’ll be picked up at the airport in Iquitos or your hotel.
You’ll be driven to the river, where you’ll hop in a speedboat to ride up the Amazon to your jungle lodge. Spend the night settling in.
Overnight Location: Wilderness Lodge in Paraiso
Meals: Lunch, dinner
Day 2 Customized Adventures
During your stay, you’ll have the chance to truly customize your experience. Your guide will help you plan our activities for each day and the choices are endless! If you feel like hiking, you can look for monkeys and wildlife on a hike from the lodge, or hike to “frog valley” to search for colourful poison dart frogs. You can also take a canoe trip to Lake Tapaje or canoe in the flooded forest to look for caiman.
You can also take a boat ride to search for the famous pink dolphins, or go fishing for piranha.
The Canopy Experience is a ropes course set high in the rainforest canopy; it will give you unique viewing opportunities and get your heart racing!
A visit to the lodge would not be complete without a trip to the native village, El Chino. Explore the farm, school, and artisan collective, then meet with the village shaman to get a true glimpse at what living in the Amazon is all about.

You can fly into Coronel FAP Francisco Secada Vignetta International Airport in Iquitos (IQT), where you will be picked up by your guide to start the tour. Flight LA 2240 from Lima is recommended.
