Andros and Tinos Islands Walking Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Athens
Start the tour as soon as you arrive in Athens with a pick-up from the airport. You’ll head to the ferry port in Rafina to cross the Aegean Sea to Andros. Take a bus from the ferry terminal to find your accommodation near Nimborio Beach.
Take the evening to explore the area and indulge in a local meal.

Day 2 Explore Apikia
Wake up refreshed after your first night in Andros and sit for a lovely breakfast at your guesthouse. In the morning, you can wander the network of gorgeous residences in Andros Chora. In the afternoon, two options are available to you to visit Apikia, a quaint village that sits in a great, green valley. You’ll take a taxi there, then spend your walking time hiking among olive groves and stopping to swim at a nearby beach.

Day 3 Andros Chora Circuit
Fuel up on a big breakfast for a long day of exploring on foot. Along the way, you’ll pass through several traditional hamlets with iconic Greek architecture, and you’ll walk along trails lined with cypresses and olive groves. During the excursion, you’ll ascend to a hilltop and see a monastery clinging to a mountain. Get your camera out for some glorious views.
Continue through a green valley and descend to Andros Chora to find an appealing tavern for a well-earned dinner.

Distance: 6.5 hours, 17.5km, 600m of ascent, 600m of descent

Day 4 Visit Ormos Korthiou, Kochilos, and Sineti Villages
Today’s journey stops at several unique villages, each with its own charm. First, you’ll depart from Ormos Korthiou and find a well-marked mule path to walk through fragrant orchards. Then, you’ll reach Kochilos and visit the ruins of an old fortress. There’s the option to gain some serious panoramic views from here.
Continue through a deep gorge to reach Sineti—stop and treat yourself to a coffee in the plaza. After SIneti, you have one final climb and descent to a sandy beach, then follow the coastline back to your guesthouse.

Day 5 Rest Day and Optional Walk
Enjoy your last breakfast on Andros, then hop on the public bus to Gavrio to catch the ferry to Tinos. A taxi driver will meet you at the port to take you to Falatados to settle into your guesthouse. Once you’ve unpacked, you have two routes available to explore the area. Both options lead you to a tiny village, Myrsini, then continue along the once-flowing Livada River.
To extend the walk, head to Livada Beach. Take some time in the evening to meander around the authentic Falatados and ask the locals where the best taverns are hiding.

Distance: Short: 2 hours, 4.5km, 200m of ascent, 200m of descent
Long: 5 hours, 12.5km, 440m of ascent, 440m of descent

Day 6 Falatados Circuit
Start the day with a bountiful breakfast in your guesthouse. Today’s route takes you to the impressive Exombourgo Mountain, with an old Venetian fortress built on top. As you walk, the landscapes turn from rocky coastlines to terraced fields and aromatic groves. Take your time spotting the many churches and monasteries on your way back to Falatados.

Distance: 7 hours, 16km, 220m of ascent, 220m of descent

Day 7 Walk to Tinos Chora
From Falatados, you’ll walk to the capital town on Tinos, Tinos Chora. The entire way, you’ll have breathtaking views. You’ll see the classic windmill ruins along the old mule paths and arrive in the town with plenty of time to explore.
Spend your last night on Tinos as you please, sampling many taverns and engaging with the friendly locals.

Day 8 Departure
