Day 1 Arrive
Get settled into your accommodation in Vilde, where you’ll stay at a lovely family-run hotel that doubles as a working farm. Set out on a little walk with the kids to see what kind of furry friends they can make.
Enjoy dinner as a family tonight at the hotel at one large communal table, sharing excitement about the days of adventure to come.

Day 2 Scenic Loop from Vilde
After a delicious hearty breakfast, you’ll set out for the green hills that straddle the provinces of Asturias and Cantabria. Today, you have the option to embark on a short or long route, depending on how much pedaling you fancy for your first day on the bike.
You can enjoy a scenic cruise to the beach at Pechón, or check out the fascinating prehistoric cave paintings at Cueva Pindal.
If you prefer to explore on foot today, enjoy a stroll through Mediterranean woodlands leading you to the unique ruins at Santa Tina Chapel.

Day 3 Canoeing on the Deva River
Today, you’ll enjoy a pleasant 4-kilometre ride to the canoe rental shop in Unquera. You’ll then take a transfer upriver to Panes, where your canoeing adventure will begin.
With a pack lunch in tow, you’ll enjoy a 2–3-hour paddle down the gorgeous river, with ample opportunities to stop at small beaches or scenic riverbanks along the way.
This afternoon, set out on a scenic walk from Vilde to Colombres to visit the Casa de Indianos, a stunning colonial-style building, home to a neat emigration museum.

Day 4 Press on to Poo de Llanes
This morning, you’ll navigate quiet country lanes as you cycle into the Valle Oscuro, made up of several traditional family farms and tiny villages. You’ll pedal at the foot of the Sierra del Cuera coastal range, making this ride a memorable one.
This afternoon, you’ll pedal the coast, checking out fascinating blowholes on the cliffs and a protected otter habitat on the bay of Andrín.
From Puertas de Vidiago, you’ll cycle a final stretch to your accommodation in Poo de Llanes.

Day 5 Cruise a Circular Route from Poo de Llanes
Today’s circular route takes you around the exciting and vibrant fishing village of Llanes, home to a medieval Gothic church, two beaches, and tons of shops and restaurants.
This afternoon you’ll have the option to cycle to Porrúa, where you can check out its ethnographic museum. If you’re craving some more sand and sea, head to the beach at Poo de Llanes for an afternoon of fun in the sun.

Day 6 Pedal the Asturian Countryside to Nueva de Llanes
There are two route options to choose from today.
Option 1:
Cycle to Posada de Llanes and then continue along the coast, enjoying a gorgeous ride along the sea.
Option 2:
Cycle to Posada de Llanes and then turn inland, cycling a circuit up into the Sierra.

Day 7 Choice of Activities on the Coast
Depending on how your family feels like spending the last day in paradise, you can choose to head to the beach at Cuevas del Mar or enjoy a circular route by bike, heading west towards Ribadesella, where you’ll pick up the pilgrims trail, Camino del Norte.
Once at Ribadesella, take your pick of fun activities, including swimming, surfing, canoeing, or tracing fossilized dinosaur tracks on the beach.
However you decide to spend your last day, be sure to soak it up, as tomorrow your cycling adventure in Asturias will come to an end.

The nearest airports are Oviedo Airport (OVD), also known as Asturias airport, Santander Airport (SDR), and Bilbao Airpot (BIO).
All three airports offer shuttle buses to the city centres. From Oviedo, Santander, or Bilbao city centre, you can catch a direct bus to Unquera. You then continue by taxi to Vilde.
Alternatively, you can book a private transfer as a supplement in advance, or arrange your own private transfer from the airport.
