Aurora Borealis and Southern Lakes Resort Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Whitehorse Arrival and Aurora Adventure
You’ll be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel in downtown Whitehorse. The hotel is located within walking distance of all attractions, restaurants, banks and stores. You’ll have have an informational meeting and registration for optional tours at the hotel. Get fitted for your winter clothing (optional) and feel free to explore at your leisure – do some shopping and have dinner at your own pace. At 10pm, you’ll depart for the Aurora viewing experience. You’ll have the comfort of a warm, heated cabin or wall tent, complete with hot beverages and snacks, to enhance your enjoyment of the Northern Lights. Return to the hotel around 2:30 am.

Day 2 Whitehorse City Tour and Southern Lakes Serenity
Sleep-in this morning then embark on a 10.00 am city tour with Main Street, Train Depot of the White Pass and Yukon Route, Log Skyscraper, Log Church, Sternwheeler S.S. Klondike, Fish Ladder, Schwatka Lake and some residential areas. You will be picked up from the hotel at 1pm and driven out to the Southern Lakes Resort. You will arrive at the resort at approximately 2:30pm. Time to relax. Enjoy the majestic lake and mountain scenery – either right from your cabin or during a walk along the shoreline. A 3-course dinner with coffee & tea & soft drinks will await you at 6.30pm (please let us know any dietary needs at time of booking). In the evening, you can view the Aurora Borealis at your own leisure – either from your cabin, your deck or at the lake.

Day 3 Excursion Day and Evening Viewing
Start your day with a continental deluxe breakfast available between 8am and 10am. During the day you can pre-book activities, such as dog sledding or simply rent a pair of snowshoes for a stroll along the lake trails. Snacks are provided in the afternoon. At 6:30pm you will meet in the main lodge for your 3-course dinner. Again, in the evening you can view the Northern Lights at your own leisure.

Day 4 Daytime Exploration and Nighttime Observation
Again, you can enjoy a continental deluxe breakfast from 8am to 10am. Throughout the day, you can reserve activities like dog sledding or rent snowshoes for a peaceful lakeside walk. Afternoon snacks will be available. At 6.30pm, we’ll gather in the main lodge for a delightful 3-course dinner. Later in the evening, you’re welcome to independently observe the Northern Lights.

Day 5 Morning Farewell and Midnight Aurora Adventure
Indulge in the deluxe continental breakfast from 8am to 10am. Check out by 10am, when you’ll be transferred to your downtown hotel. At 10pm you’ll depart for another night of Aurora viewing at the Northern Tales Trading Post. Return to the hotel around 2:30 am.

Aurora Borealis and Southern Lakes Resort Tour Price and Dates
This guided Northern Lights tour is a group experience for the first and last nights, with an additional 3 nights in the resort on your own (self-guided). Private tours are also an option upon request (inquire for details). Departures are daily, and the tour price varies based on your chosen cabin category at the Southern Lake Resort, which applies to the last 3 nights of the tour.Standard Cabin:
