The cycling is predominantly off-road using the paved Barossa trail and the fantastic Riesling Rail Trail in the Clare. As this is a self guided tour, you can ride as little or as much as you like (as long as you make it to the lunch bookings which are well worth the effort to get there!). This tour is fully supported with luggage transfers, on call support, bikes, helmets, maps, directions and printed itineraries all provided.

Barossa and Clare Valley Cycling Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive at Esk
Arrive in Barossa, where you will grab your bikes to take in your first glimpses of this incredible landscape, and enjoy a gourmet lunch at a Barossa winery. Afterwards, drop bikes, and transfer to Clare for overnight in Auburn.
Overnight Location: Hotel in Auburn
Distance: 35km
Meals: Lunch
Day 2 Cycling to Clare and visit to Skillogallee Winery
Enjoy breakfast. Later on, your bikes will be delivered for you to cycle to Clare on the Riesling Rail Trail with lunch at award winning Skillogalee Winery. Overnight Clare.
Overnight Location: Hotel in Clare
Distance: 35km
Meals: Breakfast, lunch
Day 3 Cycle back to Auburn
Enjoy a full breakfast, jump on bikes, cycle to Auburn (35kms), lunch included at stunning O’Leary Walker winery, drop bikes. Self drive onward journey.

This tour is based in simple hotels. The standard rooms are double occupancy (with private bathroom) and include most modern conveniences.

Rooms are double occupancy. You can pay a supplement to have a private room in a hotel where possible. Solo travellers may be required to pay a supplement.

Transportation during the Tour
The standard tour package includes two luggage transfers required for the itinerary’s logistics.
There is some transport required between the regions as follows that are not included:

- Day 1: Adelaide to Barossa start of day
- Day 2: Barossa to Auburn start of day
- Day 3: No transport required
- Day 4: Auburn back to Adelaide or onward journey at end of tour

Own transfers throughout. If no access to own vehicle we recommend hiring a car in Adelaide (no bike transport is required so any small or medium car is fine. Try Avis in Adelaide.
