The Beauty of Corfu Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Corfu
Arrival at the airport in Corfu (Kerkyra). Transfer (included, about 30 minutes) to the village of Liapades on the west coast.

Day 2 Cross Coastal Ridges from Paramonas to Komianata
Transfer to the small village Paramonas on the west coast and its beautiful beach. You will cross the ridge above the coast and reach the rural landscapes of Corfu, which are even more mysterious. From east to west of the island, with panoramic views of the coast, to the inland villages forgotten by tourism, the olive groves, the Messongi inland plain and then a climb to the village of Komianata. The highlights: the view of the west coast on the ascent of Paramonas, the rural atmosphere around Strongili, the panorama of Stavros. Transfer back to Liapades.

Day 3 Endless Vistas on the Walk to Pelekas
Transfer to Komianata to begin this very diverse hike with small paths and trails and great viewpoints overlooking the west and east coast. Beautiful landscapes with Tuscan air, with cypresses and beautiful, unspoilt villages nestling in the hills. After passing through the village of Ano Garouna follows a very beautiful climb to the summit Agii Deka (576m, the highest point in the south of the island): View of the peaks of Corfu, the mountain Pantokrator (911m) rises in the north and views of the east and west coast of the island. Arrival at Pelekas village overlooking a golden sandy beach. Highlights: the peak of Agii Deka, the village of Sinarades and its folklore museum, panoramic view of the west coast between Sinarades and Pelekas. Transfer back to Liapades.

Day 4 Walk Stunning Beaches from Pelekas to Liapades
Transfer to Pelekas. This beautiful hike begins with the descent to the pretty beach of Myrtiotissa and the adjacent monastery, passes through the village of Vatos, crosses the Ropa plain, climbs to the village of Gianades and into the immense olive forest of the Marmaro massif and back to the village of Liapades. Highlights: the beach and monastery of Myrtiotissa, the panorama of the mountain Agios Georgios, the crossing of the olive forest between Gianades and Liapades.

Distance: 6h, 20km, 600m of ascent

Day 5 Liapades – Lakones – Agios Georgios
You start the day by hiking from Liapades. This might be the most beautiful hike of the trip with a magnificent panorama of Paleokastritsa, the villages Lakones and Krini and the old mule track that leads down to one of the longest beaches of Corfu (fantastic turquoise water in the bay of Agios Georgios). Highlights: the panorama of Lakones, the ruins of Aggelokastro, the panorama of the bay of Agios Georgios and the Diapontia Islands. Transfer from 30 minutes to Liapades.

Day 6 Hike to Mt. Pantokrator and Continue to Kalami
Transfer to Spartylas. Hike up from the village Spartylas to Mt. Pantokrator and descent through the olive groves to the ocean and the Kalami bay, the village where Lawrence Durrell once lived.
Highlights: the ruins of the chapel of Taxiarchis, the panorama of the Greek and Albanian coast and the deep blue sea, the coastal walk between Kaminaki and Kalami. Transfer back to Liapades.

Day 7 Trip to Corfu Town
Transfer by bus (not included) to Corfu City to visit the capital of the island and its architecture, which is influenced by the history and the Byzantines, Venetians, and the French. The city of Corfu, dominated by its fortresses of Venetian origin, is an architectural example of exceptional universal value. It is classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Return by bus (to be paid on the spot). Highlights: the church dedicated to Saint Spyridon, the island’s protector, the old and new fortifications, both dating from the 16th century, the Archaeological Museum, the church of Antivouniotissa, which houses the Museum of Byzantine Art, the “Mon Repos” park, the French-inspired “Liston” and the maze of lively streets in the historic centre. Bus to Liapades (not included).
