Is this tour for me?
We rate the difficulty of this tour as a 3 / 5. The initial stages involve gently uphill terrain leading to Tarvis, followed by predominantly downhill cycling through the Canal Valley. While the route includes some manageable gravel stretches, it mainly follows well-maintained bike paths and quiet secondary roads. Along the coast, the terrain is mostly flat, with a few minor climbs. Occasional sections on busier roads add a slight challenge, but overall, this tour is designed for cyclists seeking a mix of relaxed riding and gentle climbs, with more demanding sections at the start.
