Follow a route traversed by ancient pilgrims, as you walk to Santiago de Compostela on a trail dating back to the 12th century.
Experience diverse landscapes, from coastal views along the Ría de A Coruña to tranquil rural villages.
Discover the vibrant city of A Coruña known as "The City of Glass," with its historic landmarks and culinary delights.
Enjoy a less-traveled path on the English Way, ideal for those seeking solitude and reflection.
The Camino Inglés from A Coruña to Santiago is the original route walked by pilgrims from Northern Europe centuries ago. On your very own self-guided English Way Camino, you’ll enjoy a short 6-day trek from A Coruña, following in the footsteps of ancient pilgrims from long ago.
In the 12th century, English and German crusaders visited the tomb of Santiago on their way to the Holy Land. During the 16th century, with the collapse of the English crown, the route’s popularity declined. Today this route is recovering in its two variants, from A Coruña and from Ferrol.
This route from A Coruña is shorter than the one starting in Ferrol. Given that it is less than a hundred kilometers long, it is not possible to receive the Compostela in Santiago for completing this route. That being said, the Pilgrims Credential can still be stamped at every stage.
The Camino Inglés from A Coruña to Santiago is a great route for pilgrims looking for peace and quiet on a lesser travelled path to Santiago. Gastronomy is without a doubt a highlight of this trail, as in Galicia you eat a lot, and you eat well! Discover the magic for yourself on this short Camino Inglés walk.

Day 2 A Coruña to Tabeaio
Begin this first walk from the old town of A Coruña today, which sets the stage, as today’s journey will be quite urban in nature, with mostly asphalt and sidewalk trails. The flat route leads you to O Portádego where you’ll begin to descend towards O Burgo. On arrival in O Burgo, you’ll take in the estuary and its promenade, which is a lovely reward for your efforts so far.
Later, in Sigrás a stop at the church Iglesia de Santiago de Sigrás is must, once the site of a pilgrim hospital. Press on past Anceis, then you’ll take the detour to Tabeaio.

Distance: 18.7km

Day 3 Tabeaio to Hospital de Bruma
Today’s journey contrasts sharply with yesterday’s urban setting, exchanging asphalt for lush greenery, rural landscapes, and fewer inhabitants along the way. Despite the change, it remains a straightforward route, with the main challenge arising towards the end of the stage with the ascent to Peito peak, standing at 400 meters high. This climb leads you to As Travesas, where you join fellow pilgrims on the Camino Inglés from Ferrol.
After conquering this ascent, your destination for today, Hospital de Bruma, awaits just a couple of kilometers ahead!

Day 4 Hospital de Bruma to Sigüeiro
Compared to the previous day, you are presented with a relatively simple and flat route today. Your last stage today will be a highlight of your journey on the legendary Camino de Santiago! Today you reach the longed-for Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.
