Chablis Short Break Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Auxerre
The day will start with welcome meeting and bike adjustments in Auxerre. If you arrive earlier, we recommend a walk through the old town, city of Art and History that has conserved an exceptional architectural heritage. Its cathedral, a model of gothic elegance, the St Germain Abbey, a nearly intact monastic complex with crypts dating back to the 9th Century containing one of the oldest mural paintings discovered in France, not to mention a charming city centre with great boutiques.

Day 2 Cycle to Chablis
You begin your ride through the fields, and you will stop in Pontigny where you discover the Cistercian Abbey, the largest and one of the most beautiful Cistercian churches remaining in France. Then you continue to the Chablis vineyards, through the peaceful ride in the countryside. Reaching Chablis – Burgundy’s largest white wine vineyard is your program today. Arriving at the charming hotel in the center of Chablis. A wine tasting of Chablis will be organized for you at the end of the day.

Day 3 Cycle to Auxerre via Irancy
This day ride will take place in the vineyards of Chablis and Irancy towards Saint Bris les Vineux, a well-known wine growing village. You will cycle through picturesque villages and small countryside roads with beautiful views and rolling countryside. Possibility of the visit of Caves de Bailly, important producer of crémant, with impressive cellars installed in old quarries. The rest of the ride is easy as it runs along the Yonne valley and the Nivernais canal to Auxerre.
