Chagga villages are the area under the roof of the highest mountain in Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro. The villages in this area are surrounded by beautiful natural vegetation, some human crop farming activities such as banana trees and coffee plantations, as well as animal keeping (i.e., cows, goats, and other breeds). The Chagga village area also comprises different tribes and cultures, but the prominent tribe remains the Chagga people, followed by the Maasai and other Indigenous groups. Exploring this area will give you a wonderful experience and lifetime memories, especially when cycling will take you off the road, going deeper into villages that cannot be easily reached by car.
