Point Reyes Hiking Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Point Reyes
You’ll meet the group at a San Francisco hotel meeting point to begin the tour. A shuttle will take you to Point Reyes. On your way, you’ll make a stop to walk across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, a must-do for anyone visiting the Bay Area.
When you arrive at the Point Reyes Visitor Center, you’ll hike the short trails that branch out from there and visit Limantour Beach, a wide stretch of sand flanked by green hills.

Distance: 6 miles
Meals: Lunch, dinner
Day 2 Walk the Estero Trail
Today you’ll hike through the rolling hills on the Estero Trail. Enjoy the scenic coastline as you walk towards Drake’s Head, where you’ll be treated to sky-high views across the water.
Upon return, enjoy the beach for the evening.

Day 3 Hike to Arch Rock Beach
Start your day with a leisurely walk on the Meadow Trail. In the afternoon you’ll follow the Sky Trail through the woods to the coast and visit the incredible naturally formed arch at Arch Rock Beach. It’s a perfect photo op!
Return inland on the Bear Valley Trail and spend the night relaxing to the sound of the waves.

Day 4 Coastal Trail Walk
You’ll begin your hike today from the Palomarin Trailhead, walking the stunning Coastal Trail. Your destination is Alamere Falls, where you’ll witness the water cascading down the cliffs into the Pacific.
After the day’s adventures, head back and enjoy dinner with the group.

Day 5 Tomales Point Hike
The hike to Tomales Point offers incredible views of the bay on a clear day. It’s also a great walk for wildlife viewing, as the local elk love this protected area.
Enjoy the scenery (and elk, hopefully) before spending the night at your leisure.

Day 6 Final Hike and Return to San Francisco
Your tour finishes with a spectacular hike to Chimney Rock. You’ll also visit the scenic Point Reyes Lighthouse before the shuttle brings you back to San Francisco. Enjoy your memories and photos from this trip for many years to come!
