Day 1 Arrive in Chamonix
Arrive in the vibrant mountain town of Chamonix and spend your first day exploring the lively streets, enjoying some shopping, or relaxing at a local spa.

Day 2 Walk from Chamonix to Les Contamines
Take a bus to Les Houches and ride the Bellevue Cable Car up to 1,800m. Hike along Mont Blanc’s edge to Col de Voza, descending into the valley past picturesque hamlets. Follow the River Bon Nant to the alpine village of Les Contamines, traversing meadows and woodlands on an ancient Roman trail to a charming mountain refuge.

Day 3 Walk from Les Contamines to Les Chapieux
Begin your trek through Plan des Dames, ascending to Col du Bonhomme (2,329m) and further to Col de la Croix du Bonhomme (2,479m). Descend through meadows to the idyllic hamlet of Les Chapieux, crossing brooks and passing mountain huts along the way.

Day 4 Walk from Les Chapieux to Val Veny/Courmayeur
Cross into Italy via the Col de la Seigne (2,516m) on the most demanding day of the trek. The route takes you through immense pastures, lunar landscapes, and over deep gorges, with stunning views of the Aiguille des Glaciers. Depending on availability, you’ll stay in Les Blanche or continue 5.5km to Courmayeur.

Distance: 14 – 19km / 8.5 – 12mi, 1,250 – 1,500m ascent, 1,180 – 1,380m descent, 5-7 hours

Day 5 Walk from Val Veny/Courmayeur to Val Ferret
If staying at Rifugio Elisabetta, walk 5.5km downhill to catch a bus to Courmayeur. From there, a steep ascent leads to the serene Val Ferret, passing through meadows, conifer woods, and alpine streams with breathtaking views of the Grand Jorasses.

Distance: 5.5 – 12km / 3.5 – 7.5mi, 300 – 900m ascent, 800 – 400m descent, 2.5 – 4.5 hours

Day 6 Walk from Val Ferret to La Fouly
