Cross Country Ski the Dolomites Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Alta Pusteria
Today you’ll travel to Dobbiaco and check into your hotel in Alta Pusteria. It’s the perfect time to make sure your skis are waxed and get prepared for the trails!

Day 2 Ski from Cortina d’Ampezzo
A shuttle will collect you in the morning and bring you to the beautiful city of Cortina d’Ampezzo. From here you’ll begin skiing along an old railroad line through tunnels and over bridges to the viewpoint where you’ll see the magnificent three peaks of Drei Zinnen, possible the most iconic sight in the Dolomites.
Continue along the route until you’ve reached the Nordic Arena in Dobbiaco. Perhaps an apres?

Day 3 Val Casies
Today is all about exploring the various cross-country trails in Alta Pusteria. Run across wide snow fields via
Monguelfo into the sunny Val Casies valley. Quaint farms and hamlets line the path and numerous restaurants
along the route invite you to stop for a refreshment.

Day 4 Discover the Trails in Austria
Ski the track to San Candido to begin your day, then you can choose to continue to the borderland trail to Austrian East Tyrol.
Alternatively, you can take the gorgeous detour that follows the Sesto River through the forests to Sesto. Once you’ve crossed into Austria you’ll ski the hillier terrain to Sillian.

Day 5 Circular tour Obertilliach
The ski bus takes you today to the snow-covered Obertilliach in the Lesach valley. While the professionals are preparing for their upcoming competitions in the cross-country and biathlon center, you can enjoy the excellent snow conditions and cross-country ski runs in the surrounding meadows and forests and choose a suitable round from the extensive cross-country ski network.

Day 6 Villgraten valley
You take the bus to the nearby Villgratental. The focus here is on being close to nature, peace and silence. Anyone who likes things a little slower, more comfortable and more enjoyable is in good hands here.
Another option: Variant with enough snow instead of Villgraten valley: Sillian – Lienz (approx. 30 – 42 km). You run from Sillian mostly slightly downhill along the Drau to Lienz, the long-standing venue of the traditional „Dolomitenlauf“. If the snow conditions are particularly good, in addition to this section prepared with artificial snow, other loops are also groomed through the villages on the valley floor around Lienz. Return from Lienz to Sillian by train. The ticket for the train is not included.
