Cyclades Island Hopping and Hiking Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Piraeus
Arrival in Athens airport. Transfer to the hotel (not included, around 40 min). Check-in at your hotel in Piraeus. You must collect your ferry tickets when you arrive or early the next day.

Day 2 First Hike to Serifos
From Piraeus, ferry to Serifos (about 2 hours), Perseus’ Island, overlooked by its main village Chora, which is one of the most characteristic and beautiful villages of the Cyclades. Hike to the top of the village via white, narrow alleys. Afterwards, you’ll have a chance to cool off and swim in the crystal blue waters of this splendid island.

Day 3 Chapels and Monasteries
Bus to Chora (not included, around 10 min), the village that overlooks the bay of Livadi. During your hike you will discover chapels, such as Stavros, and explore multiple inland villages: Kendarchos, Galani and Panagia. You can add to this section of the hike with a visit to the monastery of Taxiarchon (16th century). There is one solitary monk still living there and it possesses a beautiful collection of religious heirlooms. The return trip to Chora is via a beautiful “monopati” (single track trail) and descent to the bay of Livadi, where you can swim and relax as you please.

Day 4 Ferry to Kamares and Optional Hike
Ferry to Sifnos (about 20 minutes), with its numerous perched churches and monasteries, but also its talented potters. Your accommodation is in Kamares, a wonderful beach, where you will spend the next 3 nights. Depending on your arrival time you can do your first hike from Apollonia (bus not included, around 10 min) to Kamares. A very nice downhill walk with sweeping views of the sea always in the background.

Day 5 Revel in the Beauty of Vathy Bay
Bus to Apollonia (not included, around 10 min). One of the most beautiful and aesthetic walks of Sifnos! Crossing the island from east to west, the hike arrives at the beach of Vathy, where you can swim, sunbathe or rest in a tavern overlooking the water. Return to Kamares by bus (not included, around 25 min).

Day 6 Sifnos: Kastro – Faros – Panaghia Chrysssopighi – Platys Gialos
Bus to Kastro (not included, around 15 min). You continue to Faros, with its beautiful little port, then Chryssopigí and it’s wonderful monastery; further on, you reach Platy Gialos. This hike combines some of the most beautiful spots on the island of Sifnos: the pleasant lanes of Kastro, the small harbor of Faros, the well-located monastery of Chryssopighi and the beautiful beach of Platys Gialos. The paths are among the most pleasant on the island, including the splendid monopati (path) between Kastro and Faros. Bus to Kamares (not include, around 20 min).

Day 7 Stand Benaeth the Venus Statue in Milos
Ferry to Milos (around 45 min), an island forever linked to its famous Venus statue. You will discover the white canyon of Sarakinito and its transparent waters, perfect for swimming. Milos was one of the most famous islands for the obsidian trade in ancient times.

Distance: 3.5km, 7km, 110m of ascent

Day 8 Milos to Kimolos
Transfer to Pollonia (not included, around 15 minutes from Adamas) then boat (20 to 30 minutes, ticket at your expense to take on the spot) to Psathi, port on the island of Kimolos, a superb volcanic island. You hike from Chorio, the main town with its mills lined up on the Ksaplovouni ridge. Then by a beautiful path you reach the Skiadi rock, an amazing rocky mushroom formation sculpted by erosion, before reaching the seaside for a walk from beach to beach where your desire to swim can be fulfilled at any time. The return to Chorio is along stony paths in a beautiful, shaded valley, passing by several ruined hamlets. Ferry back to Milos (around 20-30 min).

Distance: 5hours, 14km, 300m of ascent

Day 9 Milos and Athens
According to the ferry time you can do a last hike to Klima, a charming fishing village in the island and visit the catacombs (the most important ones after Rome). Ferry to Piraeus (around 3h20min) and overnight in Athens.
