Cycle Holland, Belgium, and Germany Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive
Find yourself welcomed by open arms in Vlodrop, where you’ll be greeted at your hotel with a hot coffee and a delightful Dutch pastry. Settle into your room, then perhaps head out on a short test ride to nearby Roermond. If you’re feeling like relaxing after a long flight, unwind in the hotel’s pool and sauna complex for some R&R.

Day 2 Introduction to Maaseik
Today the route leads via the Roerdal and Maasdal to Maaseik in Belgium. The ride starts with a beautiful loop through the Meinweg National Park. Via Sint Odiliënberg and Linne you arrive in Maasbracht where on a nice day you can see plenty of liveliness on the Maasplassen. You cycle along the Maas to Maaseik. This church-rich city is the birthplace of the renowned painters Jan and Hubert Van Eyck.

Day 3 From Nature to Culture
A wonderful cycling stage on the LF3 Maas cycle route. This will take you to the south by cycling close to and along the Maas. Alternating dykes, water features, created by gravel extraction, and villages that betray that we are getting closer and closer to the southernmost border of our country. Today’s end point is the fantastically beautiful and Burgundian capital of Limburg, Maastricht.

Day 4 Cycle the Voer Region to Eupen
Say farewell to lovely Maastricht this morning following breakfast and get ready for another spellbinding ride today to Eupen. Heading south this morning, you’ll want to hop off your bike in Eijsden to take in the beauty of this small village before continuing past the Belgian border into the Voer region.
Some challenging climbs present themselves later in the route, but the rewards of superb vistas make it well worth the effort. Stop off in the Abbey of Val Dieu for a fascinating dose of cultural sightseeing, then continue the route to Eupen, where you’ll find tonight’s hotel.

Day 5 Cycle the Rolling Hills of High Fens to Heimbach
Today another hilly tour is on the program. Through the beautiful nature of the High Fens you cycle to an altitude of about 650 m. From here it descends to the picturesque town of Monschau. Your route continues through the Eifel natural beauty, with a few slopes. The Roer is your ‘guide’ throughout the day and takes you to the Rursee. Here you have the choice to end the day with a relaxing boat trip on the Rursee or to finish the last part by bike.

Day 6 Trace the De Roer to Düren
Continue to revel in the natural beauty of the Eifel this morning as you blaze a trail towards Düren. With the De Roer as your trusted guide, you’ll enjoy excellent cycle paths to the Flachland. Several charming villages come and go on the ride to Düren, and you can enjoy the freedom to pause in as many or as few as you’d like. Press on to tonight’s accommodations in Düren and enjoy a relaxing evening here.

Day 7 Cycle to Vlodrop via Jülich
Your final ride of the tour has you returning to the banks of the Roer this morning, a sight you’ve become very familiar and likely very fond of in recent days. Enjoy a pleasant ride to the marvellous city of Jülich and stop for lunch. Then, continue the route to Vlodrop, where you’ll spend one final night on the tour.

Fly into Amsterdam Schipol Airport (AMS). You can reach Vlodrop by taking the Amsterdam express shuttle to Amsterdam city center. From the city center, take a train to Roermond, which takes approximately 2 hours. From Roermond station, it’s 13 kilometres to the hotel—you can either bike (if not renting) or take a taxi. Alternatively, you can book a private transfer as a supplement in advance or arrange your own private transfer.
The tour ends in Vlodrop. You can cycle or take a taxi to Roermond train station. From Roermond, you can return to Amsterdam by train, which takes approximately 2 hours. From Amsterdam city center, you can take the airport express shuttle to get to Amsterdam Schipol Airport (AMS). Alternatively, you can book a private transfer to the airport as a supplement in advance or arrange your own private transfer.
