Deep Water Solo Climbing in Mallorca, Spain Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival
Welcome to Mallorca! Make your way to your accommodations today and gather around the dinner table to get to know each other and discuss the week to come.
Day 2 Warm-up
Today you’ll do some warm-up climbs to get a taste of the rock. To get started, we’ll explore each climber’s strong and weak points as well as limitations. It is also important to introduce the risks and best safety practices for Deep Water Solo (DWS) climbing.
Day 3-6 Climbing
Plenty of chances to practice DWS climbing to improve technique and gain confidence. Experienced coaches will guide and supervise you as you learn new skills. Practice overhang techniques, such as side step, drop knee, and flagging. You’ll find some challenging DWS routes to practice on-sights and learn how to prepare mentally before striking your route. Learn and discuss red-pointing, flash, and on-sight methods, There will also be time for technical coaching. Most important of all, though, is to have a lot of fun and make progress toward your goals!
Day 7 Pre-departure Day
End the week on a great note by finishing the DWS projects you started and practicing to lock in your new skills. If you’re not too tired, celebrate the week with a farewell dinner and a party.
Day 8 Goodbye!
Time to say goodbye, until we meet again! Make your own way to the airport to depart.

Upon arrival, we will take you to the store to shop for breakfast and lunch food for the week. Refrigerators are provided by the campsite, and we will return to the store once more during the week to replenish supplies. Communal Spanish-inspired dinners prepared by a professional chef are offered every night for €15. They include an entree, salad, dessert, and wine. Dietary restrictions and allergies can be accommodated with advanced notice. We may also decide to plan a night out at a restaurant in one of the many nearby towns.

Yes, as you will be climbing over water, you will need to be very comfortable swimming in the ocean and dealing with waves and current.
Climbing is inherently dangerous, and Deep Water Solo climbing is more dangerous than most other forms. You should be a competent and comfortable climber as well as comfortable and proficient swimming in the ocean.
We provide all the gear, but you will need to bring your own climbing shoes and harness. We have belay devices, slings, and helmets, but you might prefer to bring your own. While deepwater soloing your shoes will get wet, so we recommend bringing two pairs. We strongly suggest bringing a down jacket, a hat, a rain jacket, a pair of comfortable approach shoes, 2 bathing suits or quick-drying clothing, towel, headlamp, sleeping bag, and a backpack big enough for carrying lunch and gear to the crag.

This trip starts and ends at the climbing accommodation in Mallorca. Transportation to and from Mallorca Airport is not included.
