Fairy Meadows and Nanga Parbat Base Camp Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Islamabad
Welcome to Islamabad! You will be met at the airport and escorted you to your hotel. Enjoy a sightseeing tour in Islamabad before the return to your hotel for a comfortable night of rest to prepare you for the journey ahead.

Day 2 Travel to Chilas
Get an early start today as a private coach or van takes you for an air-conditioned drive to Chilas, a small town on the Indus River in the heart of Gilgit-Baltistan. Depending on road conditions, you will travel via either the Karakoram Highway or via the Naran Valley.
The Karakoram Highway is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, with each new turn in the road offering a new amazing view all the way to Chilas. Follow the Indus River through very steep gorges on this route before crossing the Babusar Pass (4,173 m / 13,690 ft), which is an amazing experience. If the Babusar Pass road is closed due to weather or other conditions, then you will follow the Naran Valley route. This road along the Kunhar River also offers spectacular mountain views as it winds through lush, green valleys. When you arrive in Chilas, a dry and barren town on the banks of the Indus River, enjoy panoramic views of the landscape. After a long journey, you will welcome a comfortable night’s rest in your hotel in Chilas.

Day 3 Jeep Ride and trek to Fairy Meadows
Another early start on this guided tour to Fairy Meadows. Today is another day of travel, and your early start gives you plenty of time for adventures today! Continue driving along the Karakorum Highway today for about 3 hours until you reach Raikot Bridge. The beauty and majesty of this drive are overwhelming and widely considered some of the best views in the world. From Raikot Bridge the journey continues on to Tato Village for about an hour in 4X4 Jeeps.
In Tato Village, leave the road behind and take a gentle 3-hour hike to reach Fairy Meadows. Riding a horse is also an option along this trail. Prepare to be stunned by your first glimpses of the majestic Nanga Parbat (8,126 m / 26,660 ft), which you will see clearly from Fairy Meadows. Spend the night at the base of the mighty mountain in the Fairy Meadows Cottages.

Distance: 4 Hour Transfer, 3-hour walk
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 4 Trek to Nanga Parbat overlook
Today is a special day, as you trek to Nanga Parbat Base overlook. Wake up today in the shadow of Nanga Parbat at the lovely Fairy Meadows. According to legend, this lush and green plateau is heaven for fairies. It is possible to spend the whole day relaxing here, enjoying the mystical atmosphere. The recommended option, however, is to get closer to the mighty Nanga Parbat by trekking to Beyal Camp, which is one of the base camps for Nanga Parbat.
The trek to Nanga Parbat Base Camp begins by following the trail through a thick forest and alongside the Raikot Glacier until you reach the Nanga Parbat overlook (3,667 m / 12,030 ft ). Continue along the trail to Beyal Camp, enjoying views of Nanga Parbat that can only be described as magical. Be sure to have good hiking boots and a weather-proof jacket for the 3-hour hike to Beyal Camp. Stop to rest and absorb your surroundings before returning to Fairy Meadows by the same trail.
Back at Fairy Meadows, enjoy local music and a bonfire. Look up for a clear view of the Milky Way galaxy against the majestic backdrop of Nanga Parbat. Sleep well tonight in the lodge in Fairy Meadows, full of the wonders of nature.

Distance: 5-6 hours of trekking to Nanga Parbat Base Camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 5 Drive to Naran
Today you will leave beautiful Fairy Meadows and return to Chilas by the same route that brought you to Fairy Meadows. Begin by hiking down from Fairy Meadows to Tato Village, which you will find is much easier going in this direction. From Tato Village, another one-hour Jeep ride takes you back to Raikot Bridge. Travel again on the Karakoram Highway until you reach Naran.

Distance: 2-3 hours of hiking, 3-4 hours of driving
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6 Return to Islamabad
Today you’ll enjoy stunning mountain views to conclude your visit to this incredible region as you return to Islamabad. Rest well in a hotel in central Islamabad in preparation for your journey home.

Distance: 279km drive
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 7 End of Tour
