Hiking the Catalan Pyrenees Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival and Welcome Meeting
Arrive in Ripoli, where you’ll be picked up and taken to the picturesque mountain town of Camprodon. Spend the afternoon enjoying the town, which sits at the confluence of the Ter and Ritort rivers. The town centre is full of historic buildings and cute cafes, so you’ve got plenty to enjoy today.
You’ll have a welcome meeting today to collect information about the route ahead and ask any questions you may have. You can also have this meeting on the morning of Day 2.

Day 2 Alt Garrotxa Hike to Molló
Get a warm-up in this morning with an easy hike through the Alt Garrotxa. You’ll hike through unbelievably lush meadows punctuated by wildflowers and streams.
Descend through valleys and forests to Molló, where a pretty Romanesque church from the 12th century awaits. After acquainting yourself with the town, settle in for the night.

Day 3 Mountain Passes and Peaks to Setcases
After enjoying breakfast, start hiking towards the two mountain passes you’ll cross today. The summits of the Pyrenees loom in the distance as you climb to Col de Fembra Morte, crossing over Col de Liens. Enjoy a picnic lunch here before following the northern ridge of Puig de les Agudes to descend.
End your hike in Setcases, where a traditional Spanish dinner and a cozy bed await.

Day 4 Loop Hike from Setcases
After breakfast and coffee, begin a loop hike through the mountain valleys near Setcases. This area is full of native plants and animals, so keep your eyes peeled.
Note there is an alternative shorter, but steeper route available.
Return to Setcases for another night.

Day 5 Ter Valley to Camprodón
The Ter Valley offers panoramic mountain views, scenic forests, and red-roofed mountain villages. Explore it today, pausing in the village of La Roca, seemingly built to hang off the rock (roca) it’s built on.
Follow the river to Camprodón, where you can spend the evening at your leisure.

Day 6 Climbing the Collada Verda Pass to Ribes de Freser
Start the morning with a quick transfer to L’Abella, where you’ll set out on today’s route. Climb gradually through a valley up to the Collada Verda Pass, where you won’t be able to do anything but gawk at the high mountain views. Your trail winds through even more wonderful scenery, with golden eagles and vultures cruising through the air above the rolling mountains.
Note there is a shorter route available for those willing to have a shorter day.
End the day in Ribes De Fraser, where you’ll enjoy dinner and flip through all the new photos you’ve taken.

Distance: 6-7 hours, 20km

Day 7 Monastery Visit and Hike to Queralbs
Rise in the morning and enjoy a railway ride to the Núria train station, where an ancient monastery presides over the nearby valley. You’ll hike from the monastery down to Queralbs, enjoying a bit of light downhill hiking.
Once in Queralbs, take the train to Ribes de Fraser. Enjoy your last night, chowing down on tapas, dancing with the locals, and sipping Spanish wine.

Day 8 Tour Concludes

Fly into the Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) and take the RENFE train at T2B to Estació de Sants. Then, take the train R3 to Puigcerdà to Ripoli station. A taxi will wait for you to drive you to your hotel.
