Lassen Volcanic National Park Hiking Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Travel to the National Park and Explore Warner Valley
To begin the tour, you’ll meet your tour group in Reno and travel together to the Drakesbad area of the Lassen Volcanic National Park Hiking. You’ll be on the trail by the afternoon to explore the hot springs and lakes of the Warner Valley before you visit the Devil’s Kitchen where the geothermal activity will surround you.

Day 2 Hike up Brokeoff Mountain
Today you’ll be taking one of the best hikes in Lassen as you climb up Brokeoff Mountain. From the summit, you’ll have amazing views of the park and of Lassen Peak!

Day 3 Waterfall Hike
Your day hike today starts from the Kings Creek Falls trailhead. The path offers beautiful scenery as it wanders through forests and meadows to scenic Kings Creek Falls.
After your walk, the group will move to their new hotel for the night.

Day 4 Explore the Lakes in Paradise Meadows
Paradise Meadows calls today! You’ll be hiking past several lakes until you reach Summit Lake where your path starts to climb. After you’ve followed Hat Creek back down into the meadows, you’ll make a stop at the Manzanita Lake Museum and Visitor Center.
Tonight, you’ll be moving to a quiet lakeside location for your final two nights.

Day 5 Challenge Lassen
You’ll finally be hiking up the volcano itself today! You’ll be climbing up Lassen’s ridge to an elevation of 10,457 feet. You’ll be treated to spectacular views of Mount Shasta and the Devastated Area when you reach the top!
The day isn’t finished yet though, as you’ll have a nice picnic lunch at Lake Helen before taking a hike through the thermal area of Bumpass Hell, an ugly name for a very pretty place.

Day 6 Visit Butte Lake
On the final day of your tour, you’ll visit Butte Lake and hike the remarkable Cinder Cone Trail. At the end of the day, you’ll be driven back to Reno where the tour officially comes to a close. Enjoy your travels home or wherever you’re exploring next!
