Don’t miss the views as you cross the Babusar Pass (4,173 m / 13,691 ft), which is quite an experience. If the Babusar Pass is not safe to cross, you will get to Chilas via the Naran Valley which follows the Kunhar River through lush green valleys and also offers majestic mountain scenery. Along the way, you’ll get a preview of the brilliantly blue Attabad Lake, where you will get to spend more time tomorrow. Take in more spectacular sights during the journey, such as the hanging Passu Glacier and the massive Batura Glacier, which is 57 km long and ranks among the world’s longest non-polar glaciers. You will also see the majestic Passu Cones, also known as Tupopdan (6,106 m / 20,033 ft). As the road takes you through the lovely towns of Gulmit and Sost, you will be warmly welcomed by the local townspeople.
