Kythnos Island Walking Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 Take the Ferry to Kythnos
You can take the ferry from Piraeus or Lavrio ports to reach the island of Kythnos. You have your afternoon free to explore the village or spend some time at sea.
Tonight you’ll meet your group for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2 History and Beaches of the Island
Your hiking adventures start today! You’ll start with a walk to the historic capital Vryokastro, and then you’ll visit the spectacular Kolona Beach.
After you explore the hilltop archaeological site you’ll have time to explore the sandy beaches as you walk the coast, or take a refreshing swim in the sparkling Aegean. After your afternoon in the sun, a transfer will bring you back to your hotel.

Day 3 Hiking from Loutra
After breakfast, a transfer will drop you off in Loutra on the north side of the island. You’ll start your hike with a visit to the Castle of Oria where you’ll also have amazing panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. Then, you’ll walk back to Loutra for a relaxing visit to the natural thermal springs. Find a quiet seaside restaurant for lunch to fuel up for your next adventure.
In the afternoon you’ll take a short hike to Chora where you can explore this picturesque town and take a traditional pottery lesson from a local artist.

Day 4 Caves and Cooking Class
Start your hike for the day from Dryopida village towards the quiet Kalo Livadi Beach. Hike to the sounds of the ocean as you walk between the authentic seaside villages along the coast.
After your hike, you’ll go on an amazing adventure to explore the Katafiki cave, one of the largest in Greece! Then you have a cooking class to learn how to make traditional Greek dishes like sfougata and tzatziki.

Day 5 Return to the Mainland
Enjoy a morning stroll before you have to say goodbye to the island. You’ll take the ferry back to Athens and start your journey home.
