Day 1 Arrival in Vilnius
Once you arrive in Vilnius, you’ll be taken to your hotel to settle in. Take a walk around the town or enjoy a welcome drink with your guide.

Day 2 Pavilniai Regional Park Hiking
Today you’ll explore a regional park inside the Vilnius city boundaries. Take a short train ride, walk along the river, traverse some hills and head through the forests- all without leaving the city!
Pristine Pavilniai Regional Park is a protected area that includes the 65m tall Puckoriai rock formation at the Vilnia River Valley. Formations over 20,000 years old are visible from the valley, and you’ll have lots of time to appreciate them.

Day 3 From Vilnius to the Countryside
Begin the morning with a short train ride to find yourself in the cozy medieval town of Trakai surrounded by picturesque lakes and forests. Trakai is the historical capital of Lithuania and its beauty leaves no one indifferent.
Day trip in Trakai like the locals do, seeing Trakai Castle and the lakes. Trakai used to be a medieval residence of the Lithuanian Grand Dukes. Once a significant and powerful town, nowadays the town is enjoying tranquillity and the vibe of a summer resort with its only 5000 residents. The town is also famous for its “kibinai,” the best pastries in the area.
End off with a walk through the Varnikai Reserve, exploring an old forest and meadow.

Day 4 The Spectacular Rusne Island
You’ll spend today making your way to Rusne Island. Visit the Vente Cape Ornithology Station, where thousands of birds are ringed and tracked every year. Every year, millions of birds fly by this station during autumn and spring migrations. A short tour of the bird-catching nets will give you more insight into bird ringing and the most common species you can spot here.
Afterwards, you will visit another spectacular space, the Aukstumala raised bog. This bog is one of the best-known raised bogs in the world. It was the first bog to be scientifically researched, notably by the botanist Carl Albert Weber. There is a wealth of typical moorland wildlife to observe, with a lookout tower offering wonderful views of the landscape.

Day 5 Boat Trip in Nida
After breakfast, if the weather conditions allow, you will cross the Curonian lagoon by boat. Welcome to the magnificent Curonian Spit, Lithuania’s go-to holiday destination! Take a half-day walk around Nida, a tiny summer resort surrounded by sand dunes and pine forests.
Visit the Parnidis dune to find a breathtaking view of the Death Valley, walk to the lighthouse of Nida, and then head to the Baltic seaside for a swim and some sun. To end the day, hike back through the forest to the lagoon side.

Day 6 Nida to Bauska
Depart from Nida after breakfast and continue onwards to Latvia. In Latvia, you will arrive in Bauska and explore its old town and walk a nature trail nearby. For centuries, Bauska has been a multiethnic town of trade. The main square is crowned by a recently rebuilt town hall and is surrounded by very old buildings. Several old churches as well as a 19th-century brewery stand in the area.
Hike in the Bauska Nature Park on a romantic trail along the picturesque bank of the Memele River to Bauska Castle. In the late afternoon, settle into a Latvian manor house.

Day 7 Bauska to Sigulda and Walking Tour
After breakfast, you will explore Gauja National Park. This park is often called the “Switzerland of Latvia” by locals, and it is the largest and oldest of the national parks in Latvia. The landscape is characterized by impressive biological diversity, natural springs, sandstone outcrops, picturesque views, and unique natural, cultural, and historical monuments.
After the park, take a picturesque walk in Sigulda and hike to medieval castle ruins, hills, caves, cliffs, impressive forests, and wonderful viewpoints of the Gauja river valley.

Day 8 Exploring Riga
Say farewell to the beautiful Latvian countryside, heading for the charming capital of Riga. In the afternoon, you will explore Riga on foot and have a guided walking tour of the Old Town.
Founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert, Riga is the largest of the three Baltic capitals and boasts a true kaleidoscope of architectural styles. The walking tour of the Old Town includes Riga Castle, Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, Swedish Gates, Three Brothers, Large and Small Guild House and the Freedom Monument. See as much as you can before the day ends!
