Natural Beauty of the Czech Republic and Germany Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival
Your tour begins in Prague, a colourful Gothic-meets Baroque-meets Renaissance city with tons of historical buildings. You won’t be here too long, though- you’ll be picked up in the city and then it’s off to Bohemia, where you’ll settle into a hotel in the Giant Mountains (Krkonoše range).

Day 2 The Giant Mountains
The Krkonoše Mountains hug the border with Poland and are home to the highest peaks in the Czech Republic, and today you’ll be treated to an in-depth exploration of them. Start with a cable car ride up the range’s tallest mountain, Sněžka, where you’ll cross the border into Poland at the top. Enjoy lunch with a major view, then wander over to the glacial corries, stone ridges, and alpine meadows that are all within walking distance. If you pause and listen carefully, you can hear the rumbling of nearby waterfalls.
Once you’re done with your mountain adventure, you’ll head back down to your hotel in the Giant Mountains.

Day 3 The Beautiful Czech Switzerland
In the morning, head off to Czech Switzerland, a picturesque region in the northwestern part of the country near the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. This is where portions of the Narnia films were shot. Watch how traditional blown-glass pearls are made in Poniklá, then head to a popular lookout atop a nearby mountain. You can choose to head up the mountain by foot, cable car, or car.
Stop for lunch at a restaurant with lovely countryside views before stopping by the Panska Skala rock, which is a basalt rock in the shape of a piano.

Day 4 Czech Switzerland National Park
Spend more time in the park of Czech Switzerland today, taking a walk to the Pravčická brána rock formation, a narrow natural bridge surrounded by green trees. Next, head down into the deep gorges alongside the Kamenice River, hopping into a rowboat to explore from the water itself.

Day 5 Into Germany and Saxon Switzerland
Ready to check off another country? After breakfast you’ll head into Germany, taking some time to explore Saxon Switzerland. Stop at the Bastei rock formation, where dramatic sandstone towers surround an old stone bridge. Next, you’ll explore Lilisnstein, hiking up to a table mountain with a great restaurant. Another lunch with a view!
Finally, it’s off to Königstein, the largest rock fortress in Europe. You’ll end today feeling like you’ve stepped into a movie.

Day 6 Exploring Dresden
Wake up in Dresden, the “Florence of the Elbe.” It’s an unparalleled example of Baroque architecture in Germany, and you’ll be wowed as you stroll its streets. If you want more time to enjoy Dresden, you can pre-book some additional nights. If not, it’s time to get ready to head home.
