Day 1 Arrive in Yellowknife
When you arrive in Yellowknife, a driver will meet you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel. Spend the evening exploring Yellowknife and soaking in the lively atmosphere of the city before you leave for the wilderness tomorrow.

Day 2 Scenic Flight to the Wilderness
Your destination is only accessible by bush plane, so this morning, you’ll board your 30-minute flight into the northern wilderness. When you arrive, you’ll find yourself in the remote nature of the Northwest Territories. You’ll receive a warm welcome at Blachford Lake Lodge and can settle into your room before exploring your surroundings.

Day 3-5 Wilderness Retreat at Blachford Lake
The beauty of Blachford Lake is not just your incredible surroundings but also the complete freedom to choose how you’ll enjoy them. Spend the next few days taking advantage of the water sports equipment to fish, paddle a canoe, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard. If you need a break from the lake, you can go bird watching, go on a hike, or craft and relax at the lodge. You can also just relax by the lake and enjoy the fall colours that paint the landscape. At nighttime, you can watch the skies from the warmth of the outdoor whirlpool or attend a campfire with a guide who will offer photography tips as you wait for the Northern Lights to appear.

Day 6 Return to Yellowknife

Tonight, you can enjoy dinner in Yellowstone—pay a visit to Bullock’s Bistro for an excellent fish dinner.
