Porto to Coimbra Biking Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Porto
Arrive in Porto. Porto is a UNESCO World Heritage city that is famous for its many landmarks and port wine.
Pick up your bike and explore the city. You’ll want to make sure you visit the beautiful Eiffel Bridge and the medieval Ribeira district.

Day 2 Ride the Coast to Furadouro
This morning, you’ll start your cycling adventure by riding out of the city towards the peaceful coast. Your beautiful seaside path will lead you through small towns and forests before you arrive in the fishing village of Furadouro.
Enjoy a dinner of freshly caught seafood in this charming town and watch the sunset over the ocean horizon.

Day 3 Cycle the Protected Natural Reserve
Get ready for a big day! Start with a visit to the pretty town of Costa Nova to admire the multi-coloured houses and take an optional ride on a “Moliceiro”, which are pretty hand-painted boats.
Explore the canals of Aveiro and visit the salt pans for a chance to soak your feet in the relaxing waters. During your bike ride, you’ll be taking in the wild beauty of the dunes in the Protected Natural Reserve of São Jacinto. The white sand against the blue sea and sky are truly camera-worthy.

Day 4 Ride the Shoreline to Mira
Today you’ll leave the pretty canals behind as you bike towards the fishing village of Mira.
You’re sure to enjoy the gentle route along the beaches and riversides as you approach your sunny destination. Enjoy the charming village atmosphere and the incredibly fresh seafood available everywhere!

Day 5 Follow the Portuguese Silver Coast
As you ride south today you’ll be biking down the silver coast, which is made up of endless beaches and a beautiful secluded pine forest.
You’ll follow the Atlantic Road through dunes, the village of Praia da Tocha, and on to Figueira da Foz. Here you’ll find incredible golden beaches and beautiful views from your accommodations for the night.

Day 6 Cycle the Countryside to Coimbra
