Sailing the Saronic Islands Itinerary
Day 1 Your Sailing Adventure Begins
When you arrive in Athens, you’ll head to the port to find the sailboat that will be your new home for the next week. After you get settled, you’ll set sail for Aegina Island. There will be time to stop for an afternoon swim before you head into town to explore. Visit a local taverna and enjoy dinner as you watch the sunset over the water.

Day 2 Explore Aegina Island
Start your day with a guided tour of Aegina Island. During the tour, you’ll visit the temple of Aphae, ancient churches, and monasteries, then go on a hike to the ghost town of Paleachora. Before you return to the boat, you’ll have time to wander. Maybe stop at the floating markets for some fresh fruits and vegetables!
Then it’s time to sail to Poros. On the way, you’ll stop and anchor at a beach for some relaxation and swim time. Tonight you’ll anchor where you’ll have a view of the scenic little town and the historic clock tower of Poros harbour.

Day 3 Cycle Around Spetses
Enjoy your breakfast during your morning sail to the island of Spetses. You have the rest of the day to explore this beautiful green island. You can hop on a bike and ride around the coast, or you can swim to an underwater cave.
In the evening you’ll visit the town of Dapia where cars aren’t permitted. Here you can treat yourself to a ride in a horse-drawn carriage.

Day 4 Hiking and Swimming on Hydra Island
Spend a sun-filled morning swimming, snorkelling from the yacht, or relaxing at the beach. Later you’ll sail Hydra island, another amazing car-free oasis. Wander through the shops and galleries of this artist’s colony, or take a hike to the Prophet Elias monastery. This beautiful island has a diverse environment perfect for hiking and exploring.

Day 5 Discover Ancient Epidaurus
Have breakfast and take a morning swim from the boat before you sail to Epidaurus. Today you can choose to take a historical tour from the port to visit the ancient archeological sites on the island. The tour will visit Ancient Epidaurus and the Epidaurus ancient amphitheatre. You can also take a tour of a local olive oil farm with a tasting of delicious extra virgin olive oil.

Day 6 Enjoy the Greek Sun in Agistri
After your morning sail to Agistri, you’ll have the whole day to relax and discover this lush island at your leisure. You can spend all day swimming and discovering the gorgeous local beaches. If you’re looking for an active day, you can arrange a sea kayak tour or rent a bike to pedal around the pristine island of Agistri.

Day 7 Final Sail to Athens
Take a sail to a quiet spot for a final morning swim. Enjoy a delicious Greek lunch on board before you sail back to Athens. Tonight you’ll be spending your last night on the boat, and can celebrate a wonderful sailing holiday at one of the amazing restaurants in Athens.

Day 8 Tour Ends in Athens

Accommodation on the Sailing the Saronic Islands Tour
Your accommodations on this tour will be on a crewed sailing yacht. Discover the joys and freedoms of living aboard a sailboat as you explore the islands. Cabins are double occupancy, and you’ll have use of the onboard snorkelling equipment and inflatable kayaks.
In some cases, the accommodation listed below may need to be substituted for other comparable accommodations.
Single Rooms and Solo Travellers
Rooms are double occupancy. You can pay a supplement of EUR580–EUR620 (depending on season and cabin) to have a private room where possible. Solo travellers may be required to pay a supplement.

Booking a partially-guided tour is a perfect choice for those who like to be in charge of some of their time while travelling, but also don’t want to be on their own during activities. In most cases, a partially- guided tour doesn’t have a tour leader assigned to a group, but some or most of the activities, such as hikes, city walks, or historic site visits, are led by different guides. Also, in most cases, booking a partially-guided tour is way cheaper than booking a fully-guided tour!
