Day 2 Segesta to Trapani
Today you will visit the archaeological site of Segesta, considered an important and evocative archeological centre due to its impressive temple with its breathtaking sea views. Day 4 Marsala to Selinunte
Today you will cycle along the seaside and through a picturesque olive producing landscape. This hilly stage will lead you to Selinunte, the ancient Selinus, and will take you into the interior of the island. Leaving the flat vineyards around Marsala, you will head inland towards a softly undulating series of hills, and then down to the sea once again. Here, you will find one of the most fascinating natural workshops of construction material from the Greek period. The archaeological park surrounding Selinunte and its monuments extends about 1.300 meters east to west.

Day 5 Selinunte to Sciacca
Once again cycling towards the sea, you will arrive at the enchanting town of Sciacca, an historical fishing port on the southern coast of Sicily. More of a working town than a polished tourist destination, it is famed for its ceramics, thermal baths, religious festivals, and its large fishing fleet. In the historic centre you will find interesting old churches and buildings, and it’s worth wandering around with a map to admire the architecture. Many buildings date back to the sixteenth century, and the grander ones in particular stand out amongst the humble streets.

The most ancient fragments that can be found in the centre of the settlement date back to the 4th Century BCE, while some graves date the inhabited centre to the 5th Century BCE.
