Piedmont Road Bike Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Alba
You’ll arrive in Alba, where you can settle in before preparing your bike and enjoying a welcome dinner with the group.

Day 2 The Wine Road Loop
After breakfast, start to pedal south. You’ll ride through an incredible landscape of rolling hills surrounded by vineyards, visiting typical old villages in the Barolo wine production area. You’ll stop in famous characteristic villages for a traditional cappuccino and cornetto break.
Tonight, enjoy a delicious dinner with local organic wine.

Day 3 The Beautiful Langhe
Today, head to the southeast Langhe area. Departing from Alba, you’ll head to the first town of the day, Canelli. This area, known for its Asti Spumante white wine, was appointed a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014. You’ll be far from the traffic today. You can’t miss your daily coffee and snack break in the old village squares!
This evening you’ll enjoy another great dinner together.

Day 4 Riding to the Ligurian Sea
Today, you’ll ride into a new region of Italy. Pass from the vineyard countryside to wild hills. This area divides the Piedmont region from the Liguria region. You’ll ride through rolling hills, dealing with some demanding but short ascents followed by breezy descents.
Millesimo, a village in the High Bormida Valley in the Regional Park of Bric Tana, is your goal today. This evening you’ll have a new regional cuisine for dinner, trying new flavors and tasting a new kind of wine.

Day 5 Biking through the Mountains to the Beach
Ride through the mountains this morning, passing through pretty mountain villages en route to Calizzano. Here the ascent starts—thankfully, it’s an easy ascent that takes place in a beautiful beech wood. Up in the mountains, admire old barracks and a fortress built in 1883.
Finally, you will see the Ligurian Sea in the distance. Descend from the pass to the beach. As a reward for your effort, a cold drink is waiting for you on the beach.

Day 6 The Ligurian Sea Loop
Liguria is famous for its extraordinary sea and beaches, but is also well-known for its immaculate backcountry full of flower crops, one of the most important products of this area. Leave your accommodation after breakfast and start to climb up towards one of the countless tiny villages overlooking the sea.
With the mountains on one side and the sea on the other, you’ll reach beautiful natural terraces with breathtaking sea views, and after a descent, you can ride your last kilometers on the Milano-Sanremo Road alongside the coast. Your last dinner, on an exclusive patio on the sea, is the perfect way to end this adventure.
